Cambodia Rice Harvest Photography Workshop: Golden Fields, Angkor Temples and Rural Life

This Cambodia photography workshop takes you beyond the usual tourist sights, combining the golden rice harvest season with the temples of Angkor and an immersive journey through Khmer villages, rice fields, and rural Cambodia.

Led by a professional photographer specialising in documentary photography and travel photography, the workshop combines expert guidance with time to observe, explore, and discover authentic Cambodia at a slower pace. With a very diverse itinerary where every day is different, from farmers harvesting rice at sunrise to Angkor’s temples in soft morning light, you will learn to anticipate moments, work with changing light, and develop compelling visual stories.

Photograph Cambodia Through Local Connections

Beyond Siem Reap and Angkor, we explore the countryside to discover Khmer culture, traditional villages, and local ways of life. As I speak Khmer, you will meet my Khmer friends and experience the harvest season through genuine local connections, offering a more intimate perspective on Cambodia, its people, and its cultural heritage.

With a respectful, people-first approach to travel photography, I take time to observe, understand, and connect rather than simply point a camera and shoot. My guidance helps you look beyond the obvious and capture authentic portraits, cultural traditions, and everyday moments that reveal the true character of Cambodia.
