About Asia Travel Photography
Two photographers, one passion, and more than a decade of exploring Asia.
Asia Travel Photography was founded by professional photographers Alessandro Vannucci and Régis Binard, who have been living and working in Cambodia for many years. Since 2012, we have been sharing our passion for photography through carefully designed photography workshops and tours across Cambodia and Asia.
From the very beginning, we’ve operated under the mantra of “By Photographers. For Photographers.” Every tour is built from the ground up with passionate photographers in mind. We focus on finding the best light, avoiding the crowds, and going beyond the obvious to discover authentic photographic opportunities.
Our years of living and working in Cambodia, combined with extensive experience exploring the countries where we operate, have given us a deep understanding of local cultures, people, landscapes and traditions. Our local knowledge and long-standing relationships allow us to create experiences that go far beyond simply visiting the most famous sights.
After many years of experience in Cambodia, we began expanding our photography workshops across Asia. Since 2014, we have organized photographic tours in North India, Ladakh, Vietnam, Laos, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
From portraiture and documentary photography to landscapes and street photography, we share both our technical knowledge and our approach to seeing and capturing a place. Over the years, we have welcomed more than 3,000 photographers from around the world, helping them improve their photography while experiencing Asia in a more personal and meaningful way.

Meet the Team
REGIS BINARD
Photographer & Tour Leader - English / French
Régis has been a professional freelance photographer for over 25 years, specializing in photojournalism, documentary, and humanitarian photography. His career began with a French non-profit organization, where he spent two years traveling extensively throughout Central and Southeast Asia, combining photography with project management.
Since moving to Cambodia in 2011, Régis has worked with international NGOs, corporations, and leading editorial publications, producing photography focused on people, culture, and everyday life. His clients and publications have included the United Nations, Handicap International, Plan International, The Guardian, The Financial Times, Vogue and Accor Group, including Sofitel and many more.
His photographic approach is deeply rooted in authenticity and human connection. Rather than simply observing from a distance, Régis takes the time to build meaningful relationships with his subjects, allowing him to capture genuine moments and tell stories through natural, compelling images.

ALESSANDRO VANNUCCI
Photographer & Tour Leader - English / Italian
Renowned as “Ale,” Alessandro is an acclaimed freelance photographer with a focus on reportage photography. With extensive experience as a photography workshop leader, he has conducted photographic expeditions globally, delving into diverse subjects and techniques including time-lapse and iPhoneography alongside traditional stills photography.
Residing in Cambodia since 2008, his deep-rooted passion lies in capturing the essence of local culture and the awe-inspiring Angkor Archaeological complex. Leveraging his unparalleled local insight, Ale uncovers unique photographic prospects that remain unseen to others. Ale lives in Siem Reap with his wife and two sons.
