Join a Photography Tour Beyond the Ordinary
Looking for a photography tour in Asia that goes beyond the usual sightseeing itinerary? Our 2027 and 2028 photography tours are designed for photographers who want to experience Asia through their cameras while getting closer to local people, traditions, landscapes and everyday life.
From the colorful streets of India and Uzbekistan to the dramatic landscapes of Ladakh and Kyrgyzstan, and from the rural communities of Cambodia and Vietnam to the festivals and traditions of Laos, each photography workshop offers a different photographic experience.
These are not conventional photography holidays. Our small-group photography tours in Asia are designed around photography, with time dedicated to observing, anticipating and capturing authentic moments. We work with available light, explore locations away from the crowds whenever possible, and focus particularly on people, documentary photography, culture and everyday life.
Whether you are interested in travel photography, documentary photography, street photography, portrait photography or cultural photography, there is a tour for you.

Later in the year, the focus moves towards Southeast Asia. Cambodia’s changing agricultural seasons provide very different photographic conditions, while Vietnam and Laos offer opportunities to photograph rural life, local traditions, festivals and people in their natural environment.

Small-Group Photography Tours Designed for Photographers
Our photography workshops are deliberately kept small. A limited number of participants means more flexibility, better access to photographic situations and more time for individual guidance.
The aim is not simply to visit famous landmarks and take photographs. We want to create opportunities to meet people, understand the environment and photograph authentic situations.
Depending on the destination, a typical day might involve photographing local markets, villages, religious ceremonies, farmers working in the fields, monks, traditional crafts, landscapes or evening activities.
There is also plenty of time to work on the technical and creative aspects of photography, including composition, light, exposure, lenses, visual storytelling and working with people.

What Makes These Photography Tours Different?
Photography comes first
The itineraries are built around the best photographic opportunities rather than simply ticking off tourist attractions. We allow time to wait for the right light, observe a scene and return to locations when conditions are particularly interesting.
Authentic encounters
People and everyday life are at the heart of many of our photography tours. We believe the strongest travel photographs often come from genuine encounters rather than staged scenes.
Experienced photographic guidance
The tours are led by professional photographers with extensive experience in documentary, travel and people photography. Guidance is adapted to each participant, whether you are an experienced photographer or looking to develop your skills.
Small groups
Small groups allow us to remain flexible and to spend more time in locations that are particularly rewarding photographically. It also creates a relaxed atmosphere in which photographers can share ideas and experiences.
Asia beyond the postcard
From the Silk Road to the Himalayas and from remote Cambodian villages to the festivals of Laos, these tours explore a side of Asia that is often missed by conventional travel itineraries.
