Some photographers travel once.
Others return again… and again… and again.

We’ve just completed an immersive 14-day Private Photo Workshop in Cambodia, once again with long-time returning clients. When photographers repeatedly choose the same Photography Workshops in Asia, it’s usually because the experience goes far beyond a standard tour.

Why Our Photography Workshops in Asia Attract Repeat Clients

Repeat customers say more than reviews ever could.

Annabelle has now joined us on:

This time, she returned with Warwick and Janelle – also regulars – who have already photographed Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Ladakh with us. And yet, they still wanted more Cambodia.

Clearly, they like it here.

A Fully Customized Private Photo Workshop in Cambodia

This was not a fixed itinerary.

This Private Photo Workshop in Cambodia was fully customized, designed around personal interests, shooting style, and pace. We traveled through several provinces, creating a tailor-made Cambodia photography tour focused on people, culture, and visual storytelling.

Photographing Real Life in Cambodia (Beyond Angkor)

We made one simple choice:
No temples. No ants.

For context, last time Annabelle joined us in August, day one was memorable for all the wrong reasons: she stepped on ants, got bitten, slipped, and twisted her ankle—all before lunch. This time? Zero ants. Two fully functional ankles. Much better start.

With the obstacles out of the way, we could focus on what makes our Photography Workshops in Asia truly special:

  • Authentic portraits of Cambodian people
Lily Flowers collection in Cambodia
  • Meeting and photographing ethnic minorities in Cambodia
Cham people of Cambodia
  • Artisans and craftsmen at work

  • Fishermen along the Mekong River

  • Daily life on Tonle Sap Lake

No ants, no slips—just endless photo opportunities. This approach creates stronger stories and far more meaningful images.

Too Many Photo Opportunities (A Real Problem)

From early mornings to late afternoons, the photographic moments never stopped. At one point, Annabelle and Warwick jokingly complained they were taking too many good photos.

After 14 days, everyone returned home with:

  • Full memory cards
  • Thousands of images
  • And the enjoyable problem of choosing what to edit

That’s exactly what a Private Photography Workshop in Asia should feel like.

Future Photography Workshops in Cambodia (2026–2027)

This workshop confirmed what we already suspected:
Cambodia still has many untold stories.

New Cambodia Photography Tours Coming Soon

We are currently developing a new Cambodia photography tour exploring lesser-known regions, focused on people, ethnic minorities, and daily life. This is planned for for late 2026 or early 2027.

Thank You to Our Returning Photography Workshop Clients

A sincere thank-you to Annabelle, Warwick, and Janelle.

Luckily, we’ll see them again soon during our Kyrgyzstan photography tour this June. Annabelle may soon complete every tour we offer—and she’s not the only one trying.

Don’t worry: we’re already working on new destinations.

The adventure continues.

FAQ: Private Photo Workshop in Cambodia

What is a Private Photo Workshop in Cambodia?

A private photography workshop is a custom-designed photography tour with personal guidance, local access, and cultural immersion. You get expert mentoring and tailored photo opportunities in Cambodia’s most photogenic regions.

Who are these Photography Workshops in Asia for?

They are ideal for photographers seeking authentic experiences, strong storytelling, and respectful access to local communities. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced photographers are welcome.

When is the next Cambodia photography tour?

We offer multiple opportunities each year:

  • August – Planting season (lush green fields and rural life)
  • November – Harvest season (golden rice fields and vibrant local activities)
  • Future tour – December or January in a new, less-visited region of Cambodia

What level of photography skill is required?

No professional experience is required. We cater to all levels, offering tips, guidance, and hands-on mentoring to help you capture the best images.

What kind of equipment should I bring?

Bring your camera, lenses, tripod, and spare batteries. We’ll also give recommendations for the best gear for landscapes, portraits, and street photography in Cambodia.

What is the accommodation like?

Accommodations vary by location but are carefully selected for comfort and authenticity. In Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, we stay in very comfortable 4-star hotels. In the countryside, we use clean, well-maintained 3-star guesthouses or boutique lodges—the best available in each region—so you can rest well and be ready for photography every day.

Is cultural etiquette explained?

Absolutely. Respectful interaction is key. We brief you on local customs, photographing people, and appropriate behavior so you can capture authentic moments responsibly.

Can I join a group or is it private?

Both options are available. Private workshops are fully customizable for individuals, couples, or small groups. We also run small group tours for photographers who enjoy sharing experiences.

How many photos can I expect to take?

Expect thousands of images! 😀
