We’re Back Home! (And Our Cameras Are Still Smoking from Overuse)
Well, that was a ride. Four months, three countries, five photography workshops, countless cups of tea, and enough dust in our camera gear to start our own miniature desert exhibit. But after what feels like a pure Asia photography tour (and maybe a mild case of luggage-Tetris PTSD), we can finally say it: we are back in Siem Reap, Cambodia!

As every year since 2019, April and May had us wandering through Uzbekistan – because really, who can resist those hypnotic blue tiles and the occasional camel photobomb? Then, June and July were for Ladakh, our high-altitude playground. But this year, we went rogue and added a brand-new destination: Kyrgyzstan. And let us tell you – it. did. not. disappoint. Mountains? Epic. Horses? Everywhere. Hospitality? Let’s just say we’re still digesting the bread.
In fact, this summer Ale and I were both in Ladakh… at the same time… with two different groups. Yes, we occasionally waved across the mountains like rival gang leaders in a photography-themed musical.
So yes – we’ve been busy. And now that we’re back, we wanted to share some of our favorite shots from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ladakh from the last four months. Just a short article though, because as soon as we unpack (read: live out of half-unzipped suitcases for another week), we’re diving right back into Angkor Travel Photography day tours. Oh, and the Cambodia Photo Workshop starts in one week, followed by Vietnam and Laos.
Basically, we’re about to be everywhere again – so enjoy this little selection of images before we vanish into the field with our cameras glued to our faces.

Hope you enjoy the shots! And remember: behind every great travel photo is a photographer with sunburn, an extra SD card, and a deep suspicion they left their lens cap somewhere in Kyrgyzstan…
